Can anyone help with these discussions please?
Discussion 1:
One of the more notable aspects of Moonlight is its play with narrative structure. The film obviously takes place across three periods in the life of Chiron, but I find myself wondering if traditional five-act structures exist within each segment, or maybe across the whole film.
For this discussion, map out the narrative structure of Moonlight into three or five act(s) structure or, alternatively, point out where/how the film breaks with these traditional structures and think about why it might choose to do so. Focus especially on the idea of a conflict which is introduced and, perhaps, resolved by the narrative’s end.
Discussion 2:
So we’ve now looked at two pretty dissimilar films. Sunrise and Moonlight are separated by about 90 years, during which time cinema developed and evolved. However, since the majority of the rules for Hollywood filmmaking were written by 1915, I do wonder if there are commonalities between the form of the two films.
For this post, describe one significant difference in form between the two films (ignore obvious stuff like the fact that Moonlight has sound/dialogue or that Sunrise is in black and white), as well as one similarity in form between the two.
PLEASE RESPOND TO EACH DISCUSSION SEPARATELY, AND EACH ONE OF THEM RESPOND BETWEEN 250-300 WORDS EACH.
PLEASE USE GOOD ACADEMIC LANGUAGE, AND MAKE SURE IT’S SIMPLE SINCE I AM AN INTERNATIONAL FRRSHMEN.
