Video: Synopsis-Language Development

This video reviews the prevalence of autism spectrum disorder and the intervention methods that the parents can use to help in the assessment process. This video reviews the autism spectrum disorder and the growing prevalence of this disorder.

Critique the autism spectrum language video. Describe the salient issues and contributing factors to better understand the risk factors, theories, and historical path of autism. After viewing the video on language development, discuss the importance of early screenings and other intervention tools that parents can use to determine the best treatment plan for their child. Identify concepts that you learned from the video and share one aspect that you found to be most interesting.
