Minimizing Resistance to Change (12.5%)

Task: For this fourth assignment, you assume the internal role of the change leader/champion. Your firm has progressed in its conceptualization of its proposed change. The planning of a sense of urgency is well under way and you are about to announce, launch, and implement the major change (as per the first paper). For this task, you will focus on employees only. You expect a great deal of resistance to the proposed change from employees at all organizational levels and units. Prepare a document for the senior leadership of the firm outlining what types of resistance you anticipate and provide strategies and tactics to minimize resistance thereby ensuring success of the proposed change endeavor. You must utilize some of the concepts presented in the Senior & Swailes book along with any other pertinent references (SLO 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 3.1, 3.2, 5.1, 5.2).

Format: Write your paper using font size 12. Double-space the lines of text. The minimum word count is 800 words and the maximum word count is 1,200 words. YOU MUST ADD THE WORD COUNT ON THE FINAL PAGE OF TEXT. The cover page should include your name, the name of the course, and the date. You should cite external resources within the text and on a final References page. All citations are to follow the system described in the American Psychological Association (APA) Style Manual.
