Imagine that you are a teacher for school aged children. You have a class of eight students, each with their strength in one of Howard Gardnerâ€™s multiple intelligences (remember they are: linguistic, logical-mathematical, musical, spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalist). Choose ONE of the following topics and share how you would reach each student to really embody and learn the material.
Topic Option #1: You are teaching students a segment on reptiles and amphibians.
Topic Option #2: You are teaching students how to solve algebraic equations.
Topic Option #3: You are teaching students creative writing.
Topic Option #4: You are teaching students how to dance.
Lastly, share your thoughts about Gardner’s work. Do you agree or disagree with his theory of multiple intelligences? Are there any gaps in his work? Would you add any other intelligence(s) or idea to his theory?
