The idea we have for the product was a machine made by a pen. Basically people can use the product to relax, and release their pressure based on their day to day bases.

For us like University students, we have a lot of pressure from course work. Then we could use it as a way to release our pressure.

10% of final project grade: prototypes + critiques (in discussion & final lecture meeting).

Process book must be submitted in person before 9 am on the day of the last lecture. It must also be submitted in PDF format – file size no greater than 10 mb – to website following the deadline posted there. You may need to compress your pdf to meet the file size limitations. Many free online compression tools are available. I urge everyone to use an ethernet connection, not wireless (campus computer centers) to submit files.

Develop a personal financial plan detailing the financial goals that you and/or your family have developed. Include:

• Analyze your personal financial situation using appropriate financial tools.
• Identify short-term, mid-term, and long-term goals. Rank your goals in order of importance as they relate to the financial resources available and expected. Estimate the financial commitment for each goal.
• Consider all factors we have covered in class, including budgeting, time value of money, asset protection, debt/credit, savings, investing, and estate planning.

Incorporate the first two stages to complete the development of the financial plan. This is the capstone assignment of this class, so careful preparation is needed to illustrate concept understanding and application.

Option #2: Tax Impacts of a Corporate Liquidation

IRC Sec. 336(a) provides that a corporation will recognize gain or loss when it distributes property in complete liquidation. X Corporation makes a liquidating distribution to A, an individual and its only shareholder of a piece of land that has an adjusted basis of $80,000 and a fair market value of $200,000. A’s basis in its X shares is $20,000. What is the tax impact of this transaction to X Corporation? What is the tax impact to A? How would your answer change if the distributed property was subject to a $50,000 mortgage?

Your assignment should be a paper 2-3 pages long, not including the required title and reference pages. Adhere to the CSU-Global Guide to Writing and APA (Links to an external site.). Include at least three scholarly sources (you may use the recommended readings) to support your answers. The CSU-Global Campus Library (Links to an external site.) is a good place to find these sources. Remember to use in-text citations as appropriate and to include your sources in your reference page.

To support any gain or loss calculations, please include all calculations within the cells of an Excel spreadsheet. This means that you must use formulas and links so that the thought process can be examined. Make effective use of comments to convey your thought process as well. No hard coding of solutions. Submit a single MS Excel file for grading.
