For this assignment, you will create a presentation (PowerPoint). In your presentation, complete the following steps listed below.

  • Identify two countries with significantly different economic conditions.
  • Study these economies and assess the bargaining power of your clients, a manufacturing firm headquartered in one of the countries and looking to develop manufacturing, production, and logistics in the other country that is strategic to existing operations in the region.
  • Develop a presentation (no more than 5 minutes) to deliver to the company a tentative Global Expansion Panel (the first level approval by corporate) in a minimum of five slides.
  • Address the advantages and disadvantages of this expansion, including the economic factors, and how use of resources and bargaining power in both countries impact the expansion.
  • Be creative in your approach. This may include monetary, natural resources, human capital, labor force, training, living/working conditions, environment, trade, or other factors that can improve or diminish bargaining opportunities.

Your completed presentation must be at least 5 minutes in length or five slides in length . You must use a minimum of two external resources to support the information shared in your presentation. All resources used must be cited and referenced in APA format. If you choose to make a video or audio/visual presentation, you may upload your references in a separate document if needed.

Russian Culture

We have been focused on national and cultural differences and how they influence economic and business values in this unit. The case study, “Russian Culture,” can be found on page 127 of the course textbook. You will be required to read the case study and answer the following questions.

  1. Discuss what shaped that country’s culture.
  2. Compare and contrast Russia and the United States using Hofstede’s four original cultural dimensions: power distance, uncertainty avoidance, individualism versus collectivism, and masculinity versus femininity.
  3. Explain how these differences between Russia and the United States may impact the business activity of an American organization positioned in Russia.
  4. Discuss a training development plan for American employees who are relocating to Russia.

Your paper needs to be at least five full pages in length excluding the title and reference pages. You must include at least four sources in your assignment. One source can be the course textbook. The other sources should be from the CSU Online Library. The paper must be in APA format, include a title/cover page, in-text citations, and a properly formatted references section.
