need a reply answer

Professional nursing organizations that am currently participating in and organizations that I might think about participating in for the future.

I started volunteering at a children’s home near my home when I have some free time. I help in serving and helping the children who need medical assistance or care and manage different conditions they are in.

When am done with my degree I would like to participate in the World Health Organization(WHO), in Red Cross and other Non-governmental organizations. I would like to help in disasters and communicable diseases. I will also consider working together with other health care professionals in my community and participate in helping the sick as a way of giving back to the community.

Nursing certifications that am considering

I am looking forward to earning a Certified Pediatric Nurse Credential (CPN). Applicants of this certificate must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree. To qualify for this certification, nurses also need 1800 pediatric clinical hours completed within the last two years or 3000 hours of pediatric experience in the past five years. Before approval, nurses must take a 3 hours’ exam which includes 175 multiple choice questions and an introductory session. Pediatric nursing refers to the medical care of neonates and children up to adolescent. Due to my determination in the field of nursing, I am excited about completing my bachelor degree and I will be able to practice in the pediatric field and later apply for certification of CPN. My love for practicing in the pediatric field has driven me to work so hard so that I may get the certification (Writers, 2019).

How considering continuing my education to pursue a graduate degree fits into my plan

I have a great passion for Nursing because it is a lifetime career. So, continuing my education is part of my plan. In fact, I am starting my Masters degree class this coming semester; which I am so happy about.

module 4 5 and 6 discussion boards

Hum 300 Discussion boards

Instructions- Discussion post is must be 250 words long and please list all references. There are 3 discussion post below please keep them separate.

1st discussion post-

  • To what extent do you believe our opportunity for creating meaningful, ethical action in the world lies more with the modernist perspective, such as Descartes and Kant (i.e. divine command theory, deontology, etc.), or the postmodern philosophies of Michel Foucault, Mike Ventimiglia and bell hooks? Please offer a specific example of how your chosen approach can serve to create a more ethically ideal world.

Please describe the ways in which some of today’s music reflects each of the three philosophies: ethical egoism, nihilism, and postmodernism. Please embed music videos to illustrate your point. Be sure to reference specific lyrics in your posts.

2nd discussion post

  • Media sometimes serves to solidify or undermine our understanding of the social contract in terms of race, class or social equality. Current topics of racial profiling, police brutality, and other issues of social inequality often appear in media. Are philosophers Carole Pateman and Charles Mills correct that the social contract is not inclusive of all people in our society? How do your views correlate with the philosophy of Rousseau, Hobbes or Locke?
    • Do you identify more with the position of Aminata or Ezra? If some cultures are endangered by globalization, do we have a moral obligation to resist exporting our products or ideas? Explain your response, drawing upon both the Eastern and African ethical models we explored in this module.

Please share a specific example to a political cartoon that best illustrates your ethical approach. Please post an image of your cartoon so everyone can read it.

3rd discussion post- Seems long because it scenario( Discussion question is bold)

Aminata and Ezra are discussing the effects of globalization as a form of modernization or Westernization of the world. Aminata points out all of globalization’s class and commercialized aspects—including the ubiquitous McDonald’s and Levis—that have negative effects on local cultures. For example, Western nations often purchase rainforests and valuable land overseas to graze cattle for cheap beef in fast food restaurants. Still, 8,000 children continue to die daily from hunger and malnutrition, around the globe, even while these Western franchises expand. They also sometimes employ child or slave labor to make many of their garments, in deplorable conditions, to import back to Western nations. She invokes the following African proverbs to lament the excessive materialism and lack of humanity reflected in globalization:

It is the human being that counts: I call upon gold, it answers not; I call upon cloth, it answers not; it is the human being that counts. ~Akan Proverb

And An abundance of food at your neighbour’s will not satisfy your hunger. ~Bayaka Proverb Ezra understands Aminata’s concerns but contends that globalization also produces many benefits including an increase in cross-cultural understanding, the transference of concerns for human rights and democracy, and the possibility for economic development. In fact, benefiting from one of these cross-cultural exchanges himself, Ezra quotes his American Zen teacher who often shares the famous koan: What do you call the world?

Ezra explains that while there is much suffering in the world, and we certainly should seize the opportunity for discussions and finding solutions, this koan is meant to get our minds to ask the important questions before reacting. What is the true nature of suffering? What is the real cause here? Can I effectively help a world that I see as separate from myself? Might it be more beneficial for me to deeply understand how the world is not something outside of myself that needs saving? Could daily mindfulness in my own small actions make more of an impact? (Kuruvilla, 2015).

This activity aligns with module outcomes 2 ,3 and 4.

Good afternoon class,

From a leadership perspective, making sure everyone is doing their part is one of the main things to focus on. According to the text, “Providing resources for improvement, enlisting all managers in the process, reviewing quality plans of major organizational units, and working with suppliers and business partners in joint quality planning” (Evans, 2017). In my experience of management, meetings are great to use to get everyone on the same page on the direction of the company. Getting weekly feedback from the employees is vital to improving performance. It also gives oversight of the internal operations that leadership may not be aware of. The meetings will promote ideas, improvements, change and continuously work since employees will constantly find a way to achieve the same results with a simplified process. Managers must also make sure with implementing any new concepts, the quality of the production doesn’t hinder the overall performance of the business.

Respond to #2:

In every aspect of any business, performance assessment is vital to determine their current standing, whether in positive or negative results A framework is an essential tool for firms to evaluate their company level aiming for success. One framework that would determine this is the Baldridge Excellence Framework, which consists of the criteria for Performance Excellence, core values and concepts, and scoring guidelines for assessment. A company should evaluate its process of inputs and outputs continually and identify and act on things that require change and improvement. Framework’s criteria of performance are valuable as well as its six categories (Leadership; Strategy; Customers; Measurement, Analysis, and Knowledge Management; Workforce; Operations; and Results). These are vital because “no single piece of the system can operate independently” (Evans & Lindsay, 2017). Each category work hand in hand to meet the success of overall company performance.

Managers must ensure that the performance level of their organization is continuously evaluated through measures such as Baldrige. In order to do meet the expectation, all levels must be involved, from corporate down to organization level. Leadership must stand out to ensure the processes are accurate and improving based on the inputs and suppliers in the business. To improve the firm’s performance and to aim success, leaders must engage on topics within their scope. “Successful leaders continually promote their vision throughout the organization using many forms of communication: personal interaction, talks, newsletters, seminars, e-mail, and video.” (Evans & Lindsay, 2017). Measuring performance from a leadership standpoint is vital to the organization and would lead them to success.

Wk 5 Discussion 2:

Suppliers [WLO: 1] [CLO: 4]

Prior to beginning work on this discussion, review Chapter 10, Chapter 13, and the lecture for Week 5.

Assess key supplier-management approaches. What are their strengths and weaknesses?

Guided Response: Respond to at least two of your fellow students’ posts in a substantive manner and provide recommendations to extend their thinking. Support your position by using information from the week’s readings, or examples from current events and/or other scholarly or credible resources. Properly cite any references.

Respond to #1:

The military has exposed me to numerous approaches of management. It has provided insight to where different approaches may be more effective than other depending on the circumstances. It could vary between the employee and the task that will require the different approach. I will focus on two approaches I have seen in my career. According to the text, “Leaders who take on a transformational style have a long-term perspective, focus on customers, promote a shared vision and values, work to stimulate their organizations intellectually, invest in training, take some risks, and treat employees as individuals. Transactional leadership rewards behavior including clarification of the work required to obtain rewards to influence motivation. Passive management by exception includes use of contingent punishments and other corrective actions in response to deviations from acceptable performance standards” (Evans, 2017). Some strengths of transformational approaches promote the development of the individual. Transactional is a form for rewarding good behavior that could be the standard for other approaches. To have the beat management approach, there has to be a balance and no leader should only believe in one view. It will cause problems between the management and lower level to gain trust, management must be diverse in approaches to sustain excellence within the company.

homelessness in new york city s schools

I would like to research the issues of the homelessness in New York City’s schools. My research sources will be Community Board data along with the statistics from the Coalition of the Homeless and other resources. Based on my research, the two schools district with the highest rate of homeless students is in district 23 in Brownsville Brooklyn and the other is in district 10 in The Bronx. These two districts have the highest rate of homeless students, who are predominantly Black and Hispanic, due to the raising cost of housing and the low-income median.
