Use the practice problem and two qualitative, peer-reviewed research article you identified in the Topic 1 assignment to complete this assignment.

In a 1,000–1,250 word essay, summarize two qualitative studies, explain the ways in which the findings might be used in nursing practice, and address ethical considerations associated with the conduct of the study.

Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.

An annotated bibliography is a combination of the words annotation and bibliography. An annotation is a set of notes, comments, or critiques. A bibliography is a list of references that helps a reader identify sources of information. An annotated bibliography, then, is a list of references that not only identifies the sources of information but also includes information such as a summary, a critique or analysis, and an application of those sources’ information.

Your Module 2 Assignment (due in Week 5) will be a paper on nurse leadership during transitions of care for two selected entities. In preparation for that paper, you will develop an Annotated Bibliography and submit it to your Instructor for feedback.

To prepare:

• Select a transition of care (hospital, specialty care, rehabilitation, nursing home, homebound, etc.).
• Use the Walden Library and other reputable academic resources to locate 5 scholarly resources on nurse leadership during this transition of care. Identify what constitutes effectiveness (i.e., cost, care management, best/effective providers, best setting, sustaining outcomes) for this transition of care within each setting. What evidence supports this transition of care or transition of care intervention?
• Review the Writing Center resources on annotated bibliographies and scholarly writing. Also review the Week 4 Assignment Rubric for specific details about the requirements for your annotated bibliography.

Explain whether or not you think that the advice Strayed gave to the letter-writer was good advice. What did she say that was correct? Incorrect? What about her message to the writer was appropriate or inappropriate? Did she cover all of the concerns or issues that the writer had? What else could she have said? What advice would you have given that would differ from what Strayed gave? These kinds of questions could prove to be helpful in writing your final exam impromptu/timed essay.

Remember, as always, that picking one of the very short responses that she gave does not necessarily mean that your post will be easier to write. Your initial post should probably be at least 5-7 sentences long–a good, solid paragraph.

Please be sure to include the title of the letter/response in your Initial Post so that your classmates and I will have an easier time discerning which one you’ve chosen to discuss.

Analyze the ways this document demonstrates your writing skills and developing knowledge of an issue in your field and why and how it demonstrates important skills you need for success on the job. Then, reflect on any changes you think you might make to that document to make it even more effective now that you have viewed it again.

Once you have reflected on this document in particular, reflect on your development as a writer, researcher, and reader in this course. What skills have you developed and improved through the course, where do you still need improvement, and what will you do to make sure you continue along this path of development and improvement?
