Research Paper Task:

Design and manage a research project to produce an argument-based

research-supported paper that focuses on Microbeads and must address a specific concern with attention to the specific problem (i.e., how it affects specific

people or specific land or specific animals) and the broader scope or context (i.e., why is the problem important, how does it happen, and what are the solutions?).

Ensure that your paper has the following:

For this assignment, you will watch an Esports event. It doesn’t have to be live, but the newer, the more relevant. This can be a league or tournament game. I will go so far as to say the larger the event the better, but you should also think about watching a game you know/like. You will write up an analysis that answers the following 5 questions:

1. How do you see the casters trying to emulate what you saw when you looked at the professional event?
2. Does this cast cater to hardcore fans or do you see ways in which there is an attempt to help people who don’t understand the game follow the action? Why?
3. Think about production value. How does the caster bridge the gap between casual casting and professional casting?
4. How do the casters use the time built into the event where nothing is happening? It’s key to not lose the interest of viewers, but almost every tournament has lengthy portions of downtime (or slow time, like pick/ban or early game). What is being done during that time?
5. What does the caster do that is unique to the collegiate space?

Each criterion will be worth 2 points of your final total for the assignment.

Imagine that you are working on a project to purchase 5,000 electrical generators with an electrical capacity of three (3) kilowatts and will be used by the U.S. Army for battlefield communications systems.

Choose to respond to this scenario from a government or a contractor perspective. If you select government, then you will complete the assignment as if you are a government employee (or military personnel) receiving the proposal from the contractor. If you select contractor, then you will complete the assignment as if you are a contractor employee submitting a proposal to the government.

Write an eight to ten (8-10) page paper in which you:

1. Evaluate the requirements for announcing federal contract awards. Determine how these requirements apply to this scenario.
2. Establish the responsibilities of the Contracting Officers Representative (COR) for this contract.
3. Evaluate the existing training and certification requirements for CORs in general.
4. Create a set of specific requirements for the COR working on the contract for 5,000 electrical generators.
5. Assess the importance of safeguarding proprietary information. Propose two (2) ways that proprietary information can be safeguarded in this scenario.
