Gallery Design

Your local art museum has asked you to design a gallery dedicated to works of art from one of the following movements:

Modernism

You may use Word or PowerPoint to design your gallery.

You will design your gallery as if you were guiding a visitor to each work of art.

In your gallery, include the following: A brief introduction to your gallery, which includes a description of the movement and the time period to which your gallery is dedicated. Six images of works of art that incorporate the characteristics significant to movement and time period. Along with each image of a work of art, include the citation for the work of art. A summary of how the media (materials), methods, and subject are significant to that time period and region, using appropriate art terminology. A summary of how iconographic, historical, political, philosophical, religious, and social factors of the movement are reflected in the work of art. week four discussion industrial organization

For this discussion:

Describe a theory of motivation in the workplace and how it can effectively increase employees engagement and/or workplace productivity. Make sure you cite research that shows effectiveness of your ideas.

Make sure to include at least two scholarly sources in your initial post that no one else has used if you choose the same theory by Wednesday.  Make one response, with at least one scholarly source, by Sunday. .

Group Structure

Planning a group involves many steps. Once group members are recruited and screened, group leaders can prepare group members by helping them understand what to expect as a group member. This is part of informed consent and sets the stage for how the group will develop. After reviewing the assigned readings: Describe the challenges of preparing a potential group member who may be hesitant to attend due to concerns for privacy. Describe how group facilitation skills can be used to help new members join a group.

Program Evaluation Plan Part 1: The Clinical Program

In your role as a consultant who has been hired to evaluate a clinical mental health counseling program, you will describe the hypothetical program you will be planning to evaluate. Because this course project is a simulation, you will not actually be evaluating a program; instead, you will create a fictitious but plausible program with hypothetical stakeholders, clients, interventions, and measures. It may be similar to one in your community, or it may be one that you would like to design someday.

For this assignment in Unit 4, use the template linked in Resources to write an introduction and a description of the program to be evaluated, including the vision and mission, clinical interventions, stakeholders, and short- and long-term outcomes of the program. You will need to: Establish your research base for the program evaluation by reviewing published evaluations and relevant research. Critique how the research and the program evaluations inform the practices of similar programs. This is the basis of your literature review. Select, justify, and apply a model of evaluation you will use in your program evaluation. Describe your plan for needs assessment, including culturally sensitive strategies for conducting the assessment. Identify ethical standards that apply to program evaluations, and discuss how you will ensure they are met. Requirements

To achieve a successful project experience and outcome, you must include the following sections for Part 1: Title Page. Introduction and Description of Program (approximately one page). Literature Review (approximately two pages). Program Evaluation Model Selected (approximately one page). Needs Assessment (approximately one page). Ethical and Evaluation Standards (approximately one page). References.

Additionally, your paper must: Be a total of 5–7 pages of text (excluding the title page and the references page). Include scholarly references to support your ideas about research on the kind of program you are evaluating (population, clinical focus, counseling approach), and program evaluation procedures (program evaluation model, needs assessment, ethical and cultural considerations). Be free from errors that detract from the message. Be written in third person. Use current APA style and formatting throughout. Be in Times New Roman, 12-point font.

Pathology, Diagnosis, and the DSM-5

Prior to beginning work on this assignment, review Chapter 3 and Chapter 6 in the course text and view the videos Depression and Its Treatments (Links to an external site.), OCD: One Patient’s Story (Links to an external site.), Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (5th ed.) (Links to an external site.) and The DSM-5 (Links to an external site.) screencast on how to access and use this resource and how to cite and reference the DSM-5. Utilize the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (5th ed.) (Links to an external site.) to support your analysis. Note that, in keeping with the focus of this class, the emphasis of your paper should be on the pathological aspects of the disorder you select to analyze.

To successfully complete this writing assignment,

1. Select a psychological disorder for comprehensive analysis from the following list (Choose only one.):

·

· Major depressive disorder

· Bipolar disorder

· Anxiety

o Focus on only one of the anxiety disorders (e.g., generalized anxiety disorder or social anxiety disorder).

· Post-traumatic stress disorder

· Obsessive-compulsive disorder

· Substance use disorder (substance abuse and addiction)

o Provide both an overview of this topic plus a focus on a single drug of your choice.

§ Your selection of topic should be based on your personal or professional experience or your own academic or personal interest in the topic. Be sure to use current terminology from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM-5).

2. Based on the following requirements, create an outline (Links to an external site.) for your paper. Use this outline to determine the appropriate APA headings to be applied to your paper. To see APA guidelines for headings, visit APA Style Elements (Links to an external site.) in the Ashford Writing Center. Include the following in your paper:

·

· Introduction of the diagnosis

· Explanation of at least one theory of etiology (causes) of the disorder

· Explanation of the associated factors in development of the disorder (genetic, environmental, familial, lifestyle)

· A summary of the diagnostic and research technologies employed in clinical diagnosis, clinical and behavioral healthcare, and clinical interventions

· Discussion of treatment options of the disorder

· An analysis of the predominance of the disorder in our current society

· Conclusion

3. Next, research your topic and obtain a minimum of two scholarly and/or peer-reviewed sources published within the last five years. These sources should provide evidence-based information regarding the psychological features of the disorder. Be sure to cite these sources accurately in your paper and include them on your references page. Consider the following for this step:

·

· You may utilize required or recommended course materials in your work, but these will not count toward the reference requirements; however, you may cite and reference the DSM-5 as one of your sources used for the grading credit.

· For support formatting your paper in APA, visit the Ashford Writing Center’s APA: Citing Within Your Paper (Links to an external site.) and Formatting Your References List (Links to an external site.).

4. Write your assignment.

·

· Suggestion: Complete your paper by the weekend to also take advantage of running a Paper Review (Links to an external site.) in the Ashford Writing Center to support your success.

5. Access the rubric (Links to an external site.) to confirm all required components have been addressed.

· Must include APA headings. For formatting support, visit APA Style Elements (Links to an external site.) in the Ashford Writing Center.

· Must use at least two scholarly or peer-reviewed sources published within the last five years in addition to the course text or other course materials. You may also use required and recommended materials from the course but these will not count toward the research component of your grade.

o The Scholarly, Peer-Reviewed, and Other Credible Sources (Links to an external site.) table offers additional guidance on appropriate source types. If you have questions about whether a specific source is appropriate for this assignment, please contact your instructor. Your instructor has the final say about the appropriateness of a specific source for a particular assignment.

o To assist you in completing the research required for this assignment, view this Ashford University Library Quick ‘n’ Dirty (Links to an external site.) tutorial, which introduces the Ashford University Library and the research process, and provides some library search tips.

· Must document any information used from sources in APA Style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center’s APA: Citing Within Your Paper (Links to an external site.)
