asoc362 sociology of sexualities 1

I need only case study outline.

Instructions:

Choose a case (a policy, non-government organization, for-profit organization, or social movement, etc.), which focuses on sexualities as the primary agenda for social changes. Based on this case, you are required to conduct an analysis as your final project. You will be expected to describe and evaluate your case by using those tools and insights you learn from this course.

In the analytical section, you are expected to apply at least 2 analytical tools we have learned in this course and use at least 6 references from the course to analyze your case and provide solid discussion.

Goals

  • Develop a solid understanding of the sociological perspective on sexualities through applying the tools to discuss specific topics
  • Analyze how different social forces have constructed sexualities in certain ways and what the implications are on people’s everyday lives
  • Evaluate different forms of social inequalities and problems
  • Evaluate the solutions and strategies proposed by the case
  • Develop the potential intervention strategies towards tackling the social problems you care about

You will post the outline of your case study on the Discussion Board by April 13 (Mon) 11:59 pm. The outline will contain the following information:

Case Study #3 – Please read Case Study 12-1 on Pages #373 – 374 – The Car Wash Blues – Please answer questions #1-3 that are on Page #374 – this will be due Saturday, May 6th at 11:55 p.m. (50 Points)

  • There will be three case studies that you will be expected to analyze and critique. You will be expected to write a detailed explanation to the questions that you will be presented with (I am not stipulating a page requirement). Students should be able to develop creative and insightful responses that can be eventually developed into purposeful solutions. To be successful with the case studies, it is important that you be able to synthesize and analyze appropriately. It is suggested that you do the following to ensure greater comprehension – (1) Preview and read the case. (2) Identify the problem (3) Determine the variables that are inclusive within the problem (4) Identify potential constraints and overall organization objectives (5) Differentiate the assumptions and develop a qualitative or quantitative technique that can be used to develop a solution (6) Analyze and critique the solution (7) Determine the most appropriate course of action, and formulate a plan for sustaining this action.

Role of Literature

In the introduction for Chapter 1 of our text, the author states that there are many ways in which literature can benefit children and help shape who they become.  Think back to your own childhood.  What were some of the ways that literature influenced you and helped shape who you are today?  What role did your parents play in sharing literature with you?  If you do not have this memory, how do you wish your parents would have shared literature with you?

one: In my opinion, outsourcing is a very good idea as long as it is being done the right way. It also depends on the business and the needs and requirements of the organizations. “However prior to outsourcing any component of your business to a third-party vendor, it is essential to understand the advantages and disadvantages of outsourcing. Although outsourcing presents a variety of benefits to your organization, it could also pose difficulties if not outsourced to the right service provider. (bdc, n.d.).” The advantages of having an In-house manufacturing is the organization is able to gain more control over production processes and assure the use of high-quality products which managing the materials being used as well as the workers. The company can also save on production costs and expenses when they purchase from a manufacture rather a supplier. If a company can do all the manufacturing in-house, keep the products in-house, and even ship in-house, then products can be delivered to consumers quicker, efficiently, and helps to reduce reduction is logistics costs. International businesses should determine these components when determining manufacturing in-house products that are not used frequently should be outsourced from independent suppliers. There are some cons to outsourcing such as, “Between 2001 and 2011, around 2.7 million jobs were outsourced from the United States to China (O’Brien, 2020).“ This means civilians of the US were left unemployed.

Two: Outsourcing is a very personal choice. It depends on a lot of specific factors whether or not a business should choose to buy rather than make. The first and probably most important would be the cost-efficiency. Businesses that can reduce cost will more than likely add to their profits. “For the typical manufacturing enterprise, material cost account for between 50 and 70 percent of revenues, depending on the industry” (Hill & Hult, 2019). Outsourcing for cost-saving alone would be a valid reason to buy rather than make in my opinion. Many aspects of outsourcing affect cost. From customer service to manufacturing. The employee cost to outsource is a cost-efficient step for most companies. “Work that’s been outsourced usually ends up in third-world countries with a highly educated population. These outsourced employees usually cost less than their first-world counterparts, making them an interesting option to look into” (Fletcher, 2015). Another reason to outsource is to fill a need without the expense of hiring. “When you outsource, this allows you to avoid bringing an employee into the company, which saves you money on everything from benefits to training” (Bram, 2019).

Assignment 3: Defining Social Justice

Social justice has been defined in different ways, but the definitions usually include similar ideologies. As you study the concept of social justice, you will come across some of the following ideas:Historical inequities that affect current injustices should be corrected until the actual inequities no longer exist or have been perceptively “negated.”Wealth, power, and status should be redistributed for the good of the individual, the community, and the society. It is the responsibility of the government (or those who hold significant power) to ensure a basic quality of life for all its citizens.

From country to country social justice is defined in different ways, and the definitions usually include ideologies as well as differences. Research the definition of social justice in the United States using your textbook, the Argosy University online library resources, and the Internet. Select another country to examine its definition of social justice in order to analyze the ideologies and similarities using the following steps:Analyze the ideologies.Identify the similarities.Using your reasoning skills, give supporting statements or arguments that support your position(s) about the social justice.

Your comparing and contrasting must consider the following:Historical values and ideologies of the countryEconomic structure of the countryDiscrimination issues, if any exist

Develop a 2–3-page analysis of the definitions of social justice in the U.S. and a country of your choice. Analyze the ideologies, identify their similarities, and explain how these factors support your statements or arguments about the social justice you’ve selected. Support your explanations with a minimum of two scholarly sources in addition to the course text and apply APA standards to citation of sources.

Use the following file naming convention: LastnameFirstInitial_M1_A3_Defining_Social_Justice.doc. For example, if your name is John Smith, your document will be named SmithJ_M1_A3_Defining_Social_justice.doc.
