The internet and technology in general has changed the world over the last few decades. The internet is such a strong tool and especially for small businesses. The internet has changed they we are able to purchase and sell merchandise. Think about how it was 80 years ago. People would have to physically travel to markets if they wanted to sell their product. Now almost every retail store has their product available for purchase on line. According to an article written Gorge Root, “One of the more significant effects that the Internet has on global markets for small business is the ability for small businesses to reach an international audience for a very low cost” Root III, 2016). Root is saying we can now sell and buy internationally because of the internet and e-commerce. Another advantage that we now have is we can shop online any time of the day. According to an article written by Chris Christopher, “Buyers and sellers that engage in e-commerce retail trade are no longer restricted by store hours, geographic marketing areas, or catalog mailing lists. With a few simple clicks they can gain access to a variety of goods 24 hours a day, seven days a week” (Christopher, 2011). This ability to send and receive products has revolutionized the systems development process in a very positive way. According to an article entitled E-commerce and Its Impact on Operations Management, “Electronic commerce (EC) is possibly the most promising application of informationtechnology witnessed in recent years. It is revolutionizing supply-chain management and has enormous potential for manufacturing, retail and service operations (Gunasekaran, Marri, McGaughey & Nebhwani, 2002). Knowing all this I would do my best to use technology to my advantage. For instance, if I were selling a product I would really harp on online sales. Reference: Chrisopher Jr., Chris G. (2011). MP- Manufacturing Discussion

You drop in at a lunchtime discussion among several of the manufacturing supervisors. Most of them have been around for years. They have been discussing how their own performance evaluation criteria may change with the transition to more modern techniques of operations and inventory control.

They turn to you and ask for your opinions on these topics, which are near and dear to them.

  • What is your understanding of the traditional measures of operational performance?
    • include which traditional measures each of the following managers would be held responsible for:
      • manufacturing supervisors
      • purchasing agents
      • schedulers
  • Most importantly, they asked you to identify the following:
    • typical metrics to use with the new system
    • what you believe would be reasonable goals for each of the following managers:
      • manufacturing supervisors
      • purchasing agents
      • schedulers

Social Support Essay

Social support is an important concept in schools. Schools are not just charged with academic development, they are charged with aiding emotional and physical development as well. Social support systems aid in this development. As noted in your text (Hjalmarson, Chapter 2), this can be an important aspect of a successful school, such as “Los Pen.”

In a two- to five-page paper (not including the title and reference pages), describe the value of social support through addressing the following:

  • Define the term Social Support and explain what relevant scholarly research states about it.
  • Describe your personal experiences with social support systems as student and/or teacher.
  • Discuss significance of social support in a school setting.

Be sure to include and reference at least three scholarly sources (not including your textbook) properly cited in APA style.

The summative assessment for this course is a Final Paper that is due in Week Five. For your Final Paper, you must demonstrate an understanding of a topic in psychology beyond the information presented in the course textbook. Incorporate material from across the course, by describing and applying psychology knowledge as you integrate new research findings, into a cohesive and well-written paper. This learning activity will facilitate the development of research techniques, critical thinking, and writing skills that are necessary to be successful in the field of psychology. You may include personal experiences as examples to explain concepts and inform your audience. You will have already selected a research topic from the list below in Week Three of the course. You must continue to use your selected topic. The topics include:

Research Required for Request for Proposal, business and finance homework help

Once a Request for Information is complete, a Request for Proposal (RFP) is created. The Request for Proposal formally asks vendors to submit proposals on how they would resolve the needs and wants of the health care setting.

Prior to creating a RFP, one needs to be familiar with the various standards for the health care setting, as well as the field in general. In this assignment, you are asked to complete that research.

Using the Internet and Capella Library, complete the following:

  • Research and analyze the critical needs of the hospital by creating a list of questions that would be given to the vendor that addresses security, compliance, and regulatory criteria. Create a list of 10 key areas that would be addressed in the RFP.
  • Examine and evaluate HIPAA, Electronic Health Records, and Quality Improvement initiatives.
    • Explain why these three topics are critical to the successful implementation.
    • Describe how all three areas are related to one another.
  • Examine and evaluate Information Technology and how IT works within a health care setting.
  • Explain how IT and Administration can work in a collaborative environment
  • Evaluate the policies and Human Resource guidelines of the hospital.
