Scenario: The Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) has been in effect since 2002 and has cost businesses millions of dollars in personnel and administrative costs. Your company is in the process of “going public,” has underwritten its Initial Public Offering (IPO), and filed its registration statement with the Securities Exchange Commission. Your current executive team has asked you to create a plan ensuring SOX compliance is followed once you become a publicly traded company.

Review the pertinent sections of The Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) Act. For purposes of this proposal to the board, only concern yourself with the compliance provisions of SOX (Sections 302, 401, 404, 409, and 802).

Create a maximum 1,050-word proposal to the board outling the compliance project necessary to implement SOX.

RESPOND TO THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT

Sex, education, and ethnic origins are some of the various characteristics that describes parolee. Sex and education are strictly based on stereotypes. Ethnic origins (mostly African-Americans and Hispanics are primarily considered parolees in most urban communities. Most are considered most off stereotypes are justifiable as well based on statistics and sources such as the daily news, social media (at times) and even hearsay.

Parolees are affected by various challenges. Many parolees are faced with the difficulty of being homeless, placing many of them in the predicament of going back to their previous lifestyles before being institutionalized. As of a result, halfway houses and correctional residential facilities to counter the parolees from becoming homeless. Another challenge would be the difficulty of seeking employment after dealing with being on parole as well. Although it depends on the severity of the crime, there are many jobs that hire felons to help them get back on track.

If you click on Topics you can choose community, health, education…… etc. Which gives valuable information about your local community. Most post are sharing population data based on race from the census website. I would like to see more DB posts sharing from this Kid count data.

EXAMPLE OF INCORRECT GRAMMAR

In 2001 when I worked at Office Depot, my job was to stock supplies during the day. One day the manager displayed a memo on the board in the break room that stated “All employees must take their brakes at different times, not at the same time”. The memo should have stated”All employees must take their breaks at different times, not at the same time”. For a while it was a running joke among the employees about taking brakes. The joke was we do not work in the “Auto Depot” and steal brakes. The employees were confused and the memo was ignored until the manager changed it a few days later. After that, the manager asked the other manager’s to proofread his memos and other documents.

GRAMMATICAL RULES

The manager in this case should eliminate chronic errors by proof reading his work. Johnson (2015) said the best way to learn to write more correctly is to get lots of practice in revising and proofing your work.

The manager should not rely on his computer’s spell checker but go to the dictionary if he was having trouble with certain words (Johnson, 2015). I’m not sure if the manager made a common mistake because he was in a hurry to complete his paperwork but that is not the first time he has misspelled words in his memos.
