Multimedia-literature-review

Multimedia literature review. 5 page literature review along with audio summary. Topic International Relations: International Organizations. The literature review is based off the previous assignment which I’ve attached. Please read the entire description for the assignment information. With the audio summary please just provide they key points on a separate additional page and I will do the audio summary.

There are two parts to this assignment: a 5 page written literature review and an audio summary. Each is described below. The literature review should be written in Word and uploaded as an attachment within the Assignments section of the classroom. Use 12 pt. New Roman font and double-space. Be sure to put your name and class information on the document and put your name on the file. Insert page numbers on all graduate-level work. The audio portion of this assignment should be uploaded along with the written literature review, and instructions are below. Assignments will be graded using a rubric appropriate for your class level (please see the rubric below for the required number and type of sources, and the other criteria on which you will be assessed).

The Literature Review

The purpose of this assignment is to propose a theoretical perspective that informs your research and assess the scholarly literature that has been written on your research question, including how it informs your research question and hypothesis. It should be 5 pages in length, and accompanied by an audio component (see below).

Content of the literature review:

The literature review should assess (1) which theoretical approach that we have covered in the course best informs your overall argument and hypothesis (e.g., socialization and interest convergence, liberal institutionalism, structural realism, feminist theory, etc.) and (2) evaluate the findings from the scholarly literature that exists on your research topic.

Structure of the written literature review:

The literature review is NOT an annotated bibliography. Rather, it is an analytical exercise in which you evaluate a body of literature. As such, your literature review should be organized by theme (NOT an article-by-article summary). A good literature review is a thoughtful study of what has been written, a summary of the arguments and findings that exist (whether you agree with them or not), and is arranged thematically. The literature review should be written in coherent narrative style. At the end of the evaluation, there should still be gaps in the literature that you intend to fill with your research.

Here is a site explaining various ways to construct a literature review. Note that a good literature review is not a list of sources with description, but it involves synthesis and dissection of sources, with minimal use of quotes.

All references must be cited in Chicago/Turabian format, which means including page numbers.

The audio component:

Along with your written literature review, please submit a 5 minute audio file in which you summarize the main themes, areas of agreement and disagreement among scholars, and any gaps in knowledge that remain that your research can help address. Some options for recording the audio are below.

HCS 335 Biomedical Example

Mickey Mantle received a liver transplant in 1995. He was a Baseball Hall of Fame center fielder for the New York Yankees whose liver was failing because of cirrhosis and hepatitis. Although the waiting period for a liver transplant in the United States is about 130 days, it took only two days for the Baylor Medical Center’s transplant team to find an organ donor for the 63-year-old former baseball hero.

According to the director of the Southwest Organ Bank, Mantle was moved ahead of others on the list because of his deteriorating medical condition; however, there were mixed feelings about speeding up the process for a celebrity. Mantle was known for overcoming immense obstacles, and many argued that the medical system should provide exceptions for heroes. He was also a recovering alcoholic, which further complicated the ethical implications of the case. Because of Mantle’s medical problems, doctors estimated that he had only a 60 percent chance for a three-year survival; whereas, liver transplant patients typically have about a 78 percent chance for a three-year survival rate.

As in the case of the liver transplant for Mickey Mantle, should the system make exceptions for anyone? Why or why not?

Write a 1,050- to 1,400-word paper in which you analyze the Mickey Mantle case using the Seven-Step Decision Model.

Format your assignment according to APA guidelines.

Week-6-Leslie-Roy

THIS IS ONLY AN INTERPRETATION, FIVE SENTENCES AND A QUESTION IS ALL I NEED. TELL ME YOUR THOUGHTS, HAVE REFERENCES! ASK PROBING QUESTIONS AND MAKE STATEMENTS BASED OFF WHAT THEY WROTE

Current role in Criminal Justice

I currently work for Family Services in the Criminal Court as an Intake Assistant. My role is to speak to individuals who come to the window and direct them where to go. If the person was arrested the night before, I sign them in and tell them to have a seat in the lobby. I then go to the clerk’s office and grab the police reports and enter the new cases into the system. The cases are assigned to a Family Services counselor (FRC) who will interview the client and determine if they are eligible for our services. If the client is referred to our office, I send out supervision letters to both the defendant and the victim stating the court conditions whether it is completing anger management or the Family Violence Education program.

I am obtaining my Master’s in Criminal Justice so I can become a Family Services Counselor (FRC). An FRC interviews clients who have been arrested for a domestic violence offense and determine if they are eligible for Family Services. A client is eligible if they have no domestic violence convictions and have not taken the Family Violence Education Program. If clients are referred to our office, the counselor will then monitor their progress and report it to the Court. Once the client has completed all their conditions, the charges will be nolled or dismissed depending on what the recommendations were. An FRC also monitors civil cases such as custody, divorce, and child support.

Resources used

There are certain resources that help me to complete my role and an intake assistant and would help me as an FRC. One of the resources we use is a police report which is brought in by different town where the offenses have occurred. A police report is a detailed report, written by a police officer, detailing the crime or incident. This provides information about the defendant and the victim which is important information needed for the protective order that will be issued. Also, the police report provides information to the counselor about how serious the incident was and can help determine if the client will benefit from our services or not (What is a Police Report, n.d.). Another resource Family services uses are case files. A case file is a collection of documents and evidence related to a particular legal case. As intake assistants and FRC’s we have to look at the criminal history of our clients to determine if they are eligible for our services. They case file contains other criminal cases they have had and we can see if they have ever had any involvement with Family Services in the past. Every case gets scanned into the system so intake assistants and FRC’s can obtain information on other case files. Researching these case files is important because it help the intake assistant and FRC to determine their eligibility. If the client has worked with family or has a domestic violence conviction in Connecticut or any other state they are not eligible.

Risk Management and Organizational Goals

Risk Management and Organizational Goals

Think of an organization in which projects and products all strongly align with its goals, mission, and culture. For instance, it has been said that Apple Inc. has found great success by making sure each of its projects closely aligns to its corporate culture and goals. The more an individual project aligns with corporate goals, the greater impact it may have on the success of an organization, and the more likely it will be that the organization will support that project at all costs. In this week’s Discussion, you will consider two scenarios and analyze the relationship between enterprise and project risk management concepts and their associated impact on the overarching goals of an organization. The more a project’s approach to managing risks aligns with the organization’s approach to managing risks, the more effective both approaches will be.

Examine the following two project scenarios:

Scenario #1

You work for a company that strives to be first to market with new products. As Chief Risk Officer (CRO), you have assembled a risk team to assess risk on the release on a new product. The risk team has identified 62 risks associated with the product release. They have also determined what would trigger the risks and have ranked them on a risk rating matrix, tested their assumptions, and measured the precision of the data used. The team is wrapping up the risk assessment, preparing their final reports to leadership, and has been given the go-ahead for production to start. No one notices that you have not included the participation of the key stakeholders in the risk assessment.

Scenario #2

You work for a company that feels it has a social responsibility to its customer base. You have been appointed as the new project risk manager of an unusually large and complex project. Because this project is business-critical and highly visible, the executive management staff has told you to analyze the project’s risks that may impact the organization’s social responsibility to the consumer and to prepare mitigation strategies for them as soon as possible. The organization has adopted standardized risk management procedures, but they are seldom followed, and they have a history of handling risks poorly. The project’s first milestone is in one week.

With these thoughts in mind:

Answer the following in 3 pages:

  • Identify which project you think will have the greatest negative impact on the organization.
  • Clearly support your answer with reasons why you believe the case you chose is the worst situation.

Rubric

Element 1: Initial Post – Project Risk Impact Comparison

Provide a thorough and detailed comparison of negative risk impact for two project scenarios. Make sure relevant resources are provided to support the response.
