I need help in writing a discussion (250 words)

This discussion post should relate to Prose Fiction, which for our
purposes is largely the short story, and more specifically some of the short
stories we have read as assigned and others that you might have read for
pleasure.

Comment on the kind of argument you might develop in a Literary
Analytical Criticism essay, and then refer to one of the stories included among
the stories in the anthology, commenting on how you think you might develop an
argument about that literary work. Pick a work of literature that
means something to you for your essay.

Remember that you can comment on each other’s posts; I will. But
please do not comment on a story you have
already commented
on
in Post2. And remember that this time I will be much more
“critical” what you say and how you say it, especially with respect
to how you suggest you might develop the argument in criticism.

( and I’ll send some examples so u can see how i want it to be)

It’s only 250 words

Budget Simulation Essay

2. Complete and submit Writing Assignment 2 (worth up to 10 points).

This assignment involves a budget simulation, with the goal of this activity being to allow you to make some budget revenue and expenditure choices based on the economic theories you read about in Week 2 and assess the political impacts of those choices based on the Week 3 readings.

Step 1: Go to the Budget Simulation (http://crfb.org/stabilizethedebt/) by clicking on the highlighted link.

Step 2: Read through the brief introduction and then “play” the game. There are several revenue and expenditure options, so be sure to move through all of the pages to make your choices (you may move forward and backward and click on the “i” notations for more information on any topic). Remember, you have the role of a legislator who needs to consider the impact of choices on all of the citizens and the economy as well as (and perhaps more importantly) the constituents who vote for you. Read through the questions below before completing the simulation to develop your strategies.

Step 3: Develop written responses to the following questions. In your responses, offer specific examples in the choices you made to demonstrate how you applied various course concepts. You can write your responses to each question individually (double spaced, and use APA formatting for citations and references); you do not need to write a cohesive essay. Include appropriate connections to the course readings and additional research. Your submission should be 2-3 pages.

  1. Discuss the economic theory or theories (i.e., laissez-faire, mercantilism, Keynesian view, and/or the supply-side view – from the Week 2 readings) that influenced your choices and/or retrospectively, most closely represented your choices. Address how your choices were guided by particular perspective(s) and what the possible outcomes of your choices might be on the economy.
  2. To what extent did you consider the “political” impacts of your choices as you were deciding which revenue sources to add and which expenditure categories to cut? Offer an explanation/examples of the ways in which those “political” impacts influenced your choices. Consider the ideas raised in Swain & Reed Chapter 5.
  3. At which point in the budget process might some of the changes (discuss at least two examples) you made in this simulation be addressed and/or implemented? [Hint: Refer to Swain & Reed Chapter 4.]
  4. Were you ultimately able to stabilize the national debt at the game goal of 60% of the GDP (you will not lose points if you were not able to stabilize the debt; the goal is to make the ‘best’ choices in your opinion)? Offer an explanation as to why you feel you were (or were not) able to achieve the goal.

methods by quality of information for decision making, business and finance assignment help

Complete the following homework scenario:

  • Required:
Compare the results of the three (3) methods by quality
of information for decision making. Using what you have learned about
the three (3) methods, identify the best project by the criteria of long
term increase in value. (You do not need to do further research.)
Convey your understanding of the Time Value of Money principles used or
not used in the three (3) methods. Review the video titled “NPV, IRR,
MIRR for Mac and PC Excel” (located at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7CryVgFbBc and previously listed in Week 4) to help you understand the foundational concepts:

    Scenario Information:
    Assume
that two gas stations are for sale with the following cash flows; CF1
is the Cash Flow in the first year, and CF2 is the Cash Flow in the
second year. This is the time line and data used in calculating the
Payback Period, Net Present Value, and Internal Rate of Return. The
calculations are done for you. Your task is to select the best project
and explain your decision. The methods are presented and the decision
    each indicates is given below.

    Investment Sales Price CF1 CF2
    Gas Station A $50,000 $0 $100,000
    Gas Station B $50,000 $50,000 $25,000

Three (3) Capital Budgeting Methods are presented:

    1. Payback Period: Gas Station A is paid back in 2
years; CF1 in year 1, and CF2 in year 2. Gas Station B is paid back in
one (1) year. According to the payback period, when given the choice
between two mutually exclusive projects, the investment paid back in the
      shortest time is selected.
    2. Net Present Value: Consider the gas station example above under the NPV method, and a discount rate of 10%:
      NPVgas station A = $100,000/(1+.10)2 – $50,000 = $32,644
      NPVgas station B = $50,000/(1+.10) + $25,000/(1+.10)2 – $50,000 = $16,115
    3. Internal Rate of Return: Assuming 10% is the cost of funds; the IRR for Station A is 41.421%.; for Station B, 36.602.

Summary of the Three (3) Methods:

    • Gas Station B should be selected, as the investment is returned in 1 period rather than 2 periods required for Gas Station A.
    • Under the NPV criteria, however, the decision favors gas station A,
as it has the higher net present value. NPV is a measure of the value of
      the investment.
    • The IRR method favors Gas Station A. as it has a higher return, exceeding the cost of funds (10%) by the highest return.

For this assignment, please review the previous statement and then write an essa

It was not until the women’s movement of the 1960s and 1970s that the voices of those being abused were heard. The battered women’s movement emerged, becoming one of the most powerful social justice and service movements in United States history.

In 1994, The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) was passed. VAWA was a major federal bill that provided more than $1 billion to be used to assist battered women’s shelters, train law enforcement personnel and judges, and support other crime-prevention efforts addressing violence against women.

Consider the following statement: “The role of the victim of domestic violence has helped shape criminal justice responses.”

For this assignment, please review the previous statement and then write an essay that either supports or opposes this statement. Base your response on your reading and review of the textbook and presentation in the Week Five Learning Activities area. Use outside resources as needed.

Accounting and The Regulatory Environment, homework help

In the wake of the accounting and finance scandals of the early 2000s, the regulatory environment for businesses changed dramatically to create more accountability and transparency. Agencies like the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) play a greater role in enforcing and auditing companies for compliance to regulations such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.

Select an accounting regulatory or standards agency (e.g. PCAOB, IASB, etc.)

Select a public company that you either currently work for, have worked for in the past, or one with which you are familiar.

Create an analysis of the regulatory environment (no less than 1,200 and  more than 1,400 words):

  • Identify one or more regulations that would apply to your selected company.
  • Discuss the ways that compliance with the regulations is beneficial to the company, industry, and consumers.
  • Examine how the agency you selected and your selected company work together.
  • Explain the role of ethics in the regulatory environment.
  • Discuss the ways in which the regulatory environment would directly affect your role in the company in either your current role or your desired career with the organization

powerpoint must be original

For this assignment, you will be developing a Fire Prevention Program that you will present via PowerPoint. You will draw ideas from both your occupational and educational experiences and knowledge. These are familiar surroundings, which are likely to aide in your development of a program of fire prevention and life safety. Provided below is a brief scenario to get you started.

Scenario: You have been a member of your organization’s Fire Prevention and Life Safety division for a number of years, and you have just completed several college level courses relating to fire prevention and occupational safety and health with an online university. You have presented your most recent grade records to your supervisor who is very impressed
FIR 3303, Introduction to Fire Prevention 8
with your accomplishments. In light of your achievement in these courses, your supervisor has assigned you the task of creating a formal Fire Prevention and Life Safety Presentation to be composed for presentation to various civic organizations such as Lions Club, Kiwanis, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, and the local Elks Lodge. Your primary target audiences will be comprised mainly of adults therefore your presentation must be designed and geared for the adult learner.

Your supervisor asks you to put together a slide presentation using the Five-Step Program model given by Diamantes (pp. 168-170 of your textbook). Your final presentation will provide your supervisor details of your process used in assembling the presentation. A minimum of three slides must be devoted to each of the five-steps. Be innovative, creative, and remember this is the first step in the overall process of creating a presentation worthy of public viewing and interest. This presentation will be seen by ONLY your supervisor (at this time); however, you must make an impression that confirms you have the “right stuff” to venture out for formal presentations to civic organizations.

Keep in mind that your organization has never embarked on such a project. You are the first, and as such, you want to ensure that your supervisor views a clear and concise series of slides. It is intended that once you have mastered the concepts and mechanics of the five-step process, your supervisor will, in all likelihood, assign you the additional task of composing a formal slide presentation that will include specific elements relative to fire prevention measures intended to education the public in both civic organizations as well as the public-at-large.

Treat your PowerPoint slides like any research paper—provide in-text citations and a reference slide for any outside sources including direct quotations, paraphrased words or ideas, tables and data, and images.

Your completed presentation should contain the following:

 A title slide (title, your name, and your organization’s name);  15-20 slides detailing your Fire Prevention Program; and  a reference slide (minimum of three references should be used to complete this assignment, not including the textbook, and be sure to utilize the Online Library).

Be sure to make use of the Notes area of each slide to contain your own narration, as each slide should be brief and concise. Notes are used during presentations and are not seen by the viewers.
