RE: SOCW6121 – Assignment: Human Trafficking (WK8)

Group therapy is one of the most successful interventions for adolescents. This is because of the nature of this stage of development and the need to belong to a group. Hearing the stories of other teens and knowing that their experiences and feelings are similar is very therapeutic. Another characteristic of the adolescent stage is a short attention span, so the clinical social worker should tailor exercises that initiate and sustain discussion for adolescents.

For this Assignment, watch the “Bradley” video. (Use sub-headings, USe 3 APA peer reviewed lierature references)

In a 2- to 4-page paper, identify two opening exercises that you might recommend for a group of adolescent girls who were victims of human trafficking.

  • Describe the exercises in detail so that another social worker would be able to implement them.
  • Explain ways these exercises might be effective in creating a comfortable environment for these teenage girls.
  • Support your rationale with the literature. For example, what does the literature say about teenage girls who have been arrested for prostitution/human trafficking and who openly discuss their experiences?
  • How do these exercises promote group cohesion and encourage these teens to talk openly?

Option 1: You may expand your written response to FIFTH OF JULY to a short essay of about 600 words. (You must complete the original response to my prompt about these video-recordings first, in order to qualify for this extra credit option.) This essay should thoughtfully incorporate a short quotation from at least ONE of the essays in the “What is (element of theater)?” (performance, theater, acting, audience, design, or directing) section of the course. For example, you could talk about Twilight as an example of Grotowski’s “Poor Theater,” because the main focus is on the acting and the relationship between actor and audience rather than on design (it might also qualifies as “poor theater” because it utilizes a cast of only one actor, and breaks the fourth wall repeatedly, keeping the audience engaged with the actor.) Conversely, you could integrate a quotation from Auslander’s “Liveness” essay, and discuss how Deveare Smith integrates video recordings from a past event into her theater piece, which makes it more of a “multimedia” performance (this would contradict the argument that it is truly “poor theater.”) Another example: you could discuss Fifth of July in terms of its acting, direction, or the various visually-designed production elements including set, costume, lighting, etc. (For example: the play moves from inside to outdoors between the two acts: how does this setting change impact the story? how does the setting impact the theme or message of the play? how do Shirley’s costumes impact the theme of the play? etc.) Please upload the essay in MS Word or PDF form only, and be sure that your essay includes a SHORT quotation from one of the secondary readings that is artfully integrated into your discussion.

Personal Framework and Philosophy of Leadership

In this assignment, students will write a paper and clearly articulate a personal framework and philosophy of Leadership, strongly supported by the literature.

power to control the internet technological innovation

Need 1 reply to below discussion:

The Internet is one of the most popular innovations of any time in the field of technology. It helped us to interact with the people across the globe and made many impossible things possible. In the recent time, the internet users have been facing various issues due to loss of their private data through the internet. Most of the government organizations are now moving towards internet censorship so that unwanted data is not posted on their websites and privacy levels are also increased at the same time.

If I were given a power to control the internet and its content I would work on the below-mentioned areas to enable healthy atmosphere among various sections of people using the internet.

I would restrict the website content that can be viewed by children and enforce strict rules on people doing malicious activities and spoiling the career of innocent kids.

I will increase the educational content quality available more qualitative. Students from domains can get benefitted out of it.

I will increase the level of security by implementing more restrictions in the privacy settings.

I will ensure that private data of internet users is not leaked, and special attention is taken on websites that have unwanted content posted on them.

Decentralized websites need to be shut down and the government needs to enforce strict rules on people violating the issues.

To conclude I would importance to educational content and removing the malicious websites from the internet. I would make sure that the right content is available to all the internet users.

Need 1 reply to below discussion:

Absolute power can be envisioned by understanding the scenario of China which practices nearly absolute power and controls the content that can be accessed in its borders. If absolute power given to control and govern the internet. ”The Great Firewall of China”- as it can be called and has been referenced all through was initially built and created so the domestic economy could thrive in such scenarios. The promotion domestic businesses helped in most things being controlled by the government and a scenario where China is slightly cutoff from the major companies that monopolize in the interne. However, the innovation and growth driven domestic companies have been able to deliver commendable services on the internet for China- one such example being Alibaba which is a leader in world.

The exponential increase in cybercrimes has made the world unsafe for people who aren’t able to keep with the technological advancement in current scene and prone to being deceived become gullible targets of cybercrime. If given absolute power in my view- we would maximize the benefits that we derive from the internet and minimize on the negative aspects of the internet. Bringing in place more governance in the scene would help in reduction of crimes- the only tradeoff would be for restriction on the freedom people receive on the internet. In my opinion it would still be a good step in bringing in governance at central level or countries creating the governance policy as the freedom is being misused and with IoT and other technologies catching up fast might be prove more harmful than imagined in the coming years.

Global Marketing

Global Marketing

Marketers must develop a keen awareness of how the environmental factors will present opportunities or threats to the company, brand, and product being marketed. According to Lamb, et al., (2014), “global marketers face the same environmental factors as they do domestically: culture, economic, technological, political structure and actions, demography, and availability and sustainability of natural resources” (p. 55). Large corporations have traditionally been the major global competitors, but more and more small businesses are entering the global marketplace by the very fact of having an Internet presence.

To understand how a product of the United States of America (U.S.) is perceived in the global marketplace can be difficult for new marketers. To build a strong understanding of global marketing, you will consider the reverse scenario by identifying a foreign made product to market in the United States.

Directions for the Discussion Board

You should shop for a product made by a foreign firm. Possible choices for this Discussion include ethnic grocery stores (such as Latino stores or Japanese food stores) or chains such as Cost Plus or Pier One that import inexpensive products from other countries. When selecting a product, try to find one that is amusing and has obviously been poorly marketed in terms of packaging, brand name, or general lack of appeal to U.S. consumers. Take notes on these products.

As the foreign marketer of your chosen product, put together a strategy for marketing it in the United States. You have the opportunity to keep the product the way it is or to change it completely. Consider the additional costs associated with changing the product.

Using research from Chapter 5 in your textbook, write your response describing a global marketing strategy for your chosen product covering the following areas:

Checklist: address the following target market questions and those regarding the 4 P’s in your postings:

  1. Target market: Who should be the target market in the U.S.? What variables will be used to select the target market? The 4 P’s:
  2. Product: Will any adaptation be made to the product features? What about the packaging? The brand name?
  3. Price: What is a fair retail price for the product?
  4. Promotion: How will the product be communicated to the target market? What promotional message will be used? What media will be used to reach the target market?
  5. (Place) Distribution: Where will the product be sold? Will the product be sold on the Internet?

You might want to take a picture with your cell phone and attach it to your posted response in the Discussion area. You will be surprised at how creative and entertaining this exercise is!

Les Demoiselles d’Avignon was one of the most noteworthy work of twentieth century. The best work of cubism painting. The absolute first time the thought of cubic painting was utilized in this image. This progressive work took practically a large portion of a year to be as perfect as it could be. This was One of the best painting on the canvas which has set up Pablo aa Picasso. In spite of the fact that this was made in 1907 it was not brought into the open not after 1916. In this image ladies have secured most piece of the depiction in 5 unique stances. This is essentially an image of a brothel on the Avignon. All ladies in picture are the prostitutes of Barcelona. Intriguing piece of this image is the body of these ladies are molded as a broken glass which in itself contains a shrewd and engaging significance.
