  5. Had France adopted the OECD convention on bribery ahead of these transactions, would the firm’s behavior have differed? Why?

Your case study analysis paper should be well written, 3-4 pages, and conform to CSU-Global Guide to Writing and APA Requirements. Completely address all of the questions related to the case study in a coherent and fluid essay (not as a bulleted list of responses) and provide justifications for your decisions. Include at least three scholarly references in addition to the course textbook. The CSU-Global Library is a good place to find these references.

Anecdotal vs Research Based Evidence

An anecdote is essentially a short story about an interesting or relevant event that happened to someone. Anecdotal evidence is when, rather than providing evidence based on scientific research, statistics, or experimentation, personal stories related to a similar topic are collected and offered as evidence.

An example of this would be a friend of yours discouraging you from patronizing a local grocery store by telling you the story of how they thought they were treated rudely by the manager when reporting on an employee not rushing to wash their hands after coughing on them. Though usually compelling (it can be hard to disregard a good story), anecdotal evidence is not necessarily the most reliable source of information.

For your initial posting, discuss why you think anecdotal evidence is hard to ignore, and then provide an explanation of why it can be unreliable.

White-collar crime paper

Describe what makes white-collar crime different from street-level crime. In your analysis, be sure you include at least two theorist’s views on why people engage in white-collar crime.

Please support your analysis with detailed evidence you have examined. Do not forget to cite quotes and paraphrases.

Your paper should be in APA format, which includes a title page, body, and reference page. APA also uses #12 point font, Times New Roman type, double spacing, and 1 inch margins. . Papers should be 3-5 pages in length and cite at least four sources in addition to the textbook. Modern Culture Life in the 1920s Discussion Assignment due September 21

This is the first discussion assignment for the second half of the class. You are going back to the 1920s; you are to read Chapter 8 in the text, the lecture on modern culture, especially on the 1920s, and also view the videos on the 1920s.

You are going to transport yourself back to the 1920s and write about what life was like in the 1920s. You can focus on a variety of happenings in the 1920s and enjoy your visit back to that timeframe in our modern history.

Finally let us know which aspect of life in the 1920s you enjoy the most and then comment on ONE other student’s choice of their favorite aspect of the 1920s. Again enjoy your trip to the past.

acceptance speech, writing homework help

12. Mini-Lecture

Acceptance Speeches

An acceptance speech should (1) acknowledge the significance of the event; (2) give thanks (where appropriate) to those who’ve helped; and (3) make a “statement” about the awarding organization’s importance, what it stands for, and how its primary emphasis is reflected in some way in the recipient’s life (not bragging). Usually, the recipient will be introduced in a way that highlights her or his accomplishments and how they resonate with the interests of the award. One should be mindful of this, and when possible get an idea of how the introduction is going to go so one may develop one’s acceptance speech off of it.

Generally it is not a good idea to follow the “I don’t deserve this” theme. I believe most audiences want to feel like the right choice was made and the recipient is ready and able to uplift them with a speech that follows along the lines sketched out by the award’s interests and the criteria employed in selecting its recipients. However, there are cultural influences that should shape the way one’s client plays the role of recipient—with sensitivity to the most appropriate way of accepting an award (for example, there may be a cultural convention operative on a given occasion that demands that one avow how undeserving one is of such praise).

MKT690 Milestone 3 SNHU Discrimination Communication

As a marketing consultant, you will need to consider various scenarios that could impact your client, and as a result you will need to work with your client to develop a communication strategy that will enable the client to address situations. This project is designed to help you understand the types of strategies that your clients could adopt to address their various audiences.

Milestone Three Scenario

Your chosen company (Starbucks Coffee Company) has approved a policy to address discrimination in the workplace. Examples of possible discrimination topics include gender, racial, religious, or age discrimination.

In Module Five, you will submit the discrimination communication strategy for the presented scenario. For the communication strategy, select either a defensive or offensive communication strategy, or you may choose an approach that utilizes a combination of these strategies. Your strategy will depend on the nature of the message along with the target audience

Examples of Corporate Communication Strategies

a) Defensive strategies: These are communications that tend to be reactive, with information transmitted after something has happened. Often this is in reaction to “bad” news, and the resulting publicity causes a response. It can also be undertaken when a corporation simply does not want to be perceived as generating publicity about an event. By way of example, a corporation may have made a donation to a particular charity or provided help during a disaster, but it does not want to be perceived as trying to generate favorable publicity. However, due to increased publicity, it “reluctantly” has to confirm its action.

b) Offensive strategies: These are communications that are usually proactive, with information transmitted before the media has reported an event or even before something has occurred.

This can be to pre-empt bad publicity over something that has happened, or to make an announcement about an issue or event that will reflect favorably on the corporation.

For the assignment, the following critical elements must be addressed:

I. Communication Context: Provide an overview of the scenario that your communication strategy will address, in the context of the company you have selected for your final project. (Starbucks Coffee Company)

II. Communication Need: Considering both internal and external audiences, explain the stakeholder management issue(s) that must be addressed due to this scenario.

What specifically caused the need for the identified communications?

III. Internal Communication:

a) Explain the type of internal communication and the purpose for the internal communication that you have chosen (i.e., informational, educational, and/or persuasive). Detail your process for selecting the type of communication that will address the scenario.

Provide justification as to why the chosen strategy is appropriate for the scenario.

b) Identify the intended target audience for the internal communication, and then explain why they have been selected as the target audience. Provide justification for selecting the identified target audience.

c) Develop a draft communication that could be sent to the identified internal target audience addressing this scenario. Ensure that the appropriate tone and message are communicated in your draft communication.

IV. External Communication:

a) Explain the type of external communication and the purpose for the external communication that you have chosen (i.e., informational, educational, and/or persuasive). Detail your process for selecting the type of communication that will address the scenario. Provide justification as to why the chosen strategy is appropriate for the scenario.

b) Identify the intended target audience for the external communication, and then explain why they have been selected as the target audience. Provide justification for selecting the identified target audience.

c) Develop a draft communication that could be sent to the identified external target audience addressing this scenario. Ensure that the appropriate tone and message are communicated in your draft communication.

V. Conditions Communication Strategy: Summarize the communication strategy utilized to address this scenario. Why was it the best approach for this scenario? What alternative strategies did you consider, and why was your approach the best option? Provide justification to support your communication strategy.

Guidelines for Submission: Double-spaced Word document, 12-point Times New Roman font, one-inch margins, APA format. Page length requirements: 3–5 pages, not including title page and references.

  2. What is one character trait that both Aristotle and Buddhism would describe as a moral virtue?
