Directions: You will need to find a SCHOLARLY PEER REVIEWED JOURNAL article related to your research topic.You can use either the hard copy journals available through from the library or articles found in databases through the SAU Library website.

Please answer each question completely! What I mean is that, for each question, your answer should be a complete sentence, and you should provide specific details that relate your article to your topic.

Ex.: “What makes this article authoritative?” The lead researcher, Dr. Jones, has been working in pediatric medicinefor over 20 years, and has written repeatedly about Asperger’s Syndrome.

You will not receive full credit for short or general answers.

EVALUATION

1. How current is this article with regards to your research topic? What information helps you confirm that it is not out of date?

2. Explain how you will use the information to help you answer your research question.

3. What are their credentials of the authors? What makes you confident that they know the subject well?

4. Is this article accurate? What evidence do you have to support that the article is either accurate or not accurate?

5. What is the motivation of the authors in writing this article? Is there any reason to doubt their motives? Are they trying to promote a particular viewpoint?

6. Choose one of the sources cited within your article that looks like it would also be useful. Using Google Scholar or the library databases, provide a link to the full-text of the article.

Work Breadown Structure of Project Management

Prepare a 2-3 paragraph submission, following the assignment template described in the syllabus that addresses the following questions:

  • Why is creating a good initial Work Breakdown Structure helpful in project management?
  • What kind of activities should the project manager lead to ensure that the WBS is complete and accurate?
  • How does the WBS creation help in building the schedule?
  • How does getting this initial phase done “right” influence the rest of the project?

Your response is not directly tied to the project you are working on with your group, but you should consider what you have learned from the classroom activities and your reading to formulate your response.

Assessment Techniques and Intervention Goal Planning

The assignment: (12 pages)

  • Describe two potential assessment techniques and/or tools that might be used for the Yellowbird family case. Compare the major similarities and differences between the techniques and/or tools.
  • Explain why each technique and/or tool might be used for assessment in this case. Evaluate which of the two would be the best technique and/or tool to use with this family and explain why.
  • Develop the beginnings of an intervention plan for the Yellowbird family by identifying and describing one specific goal for three of the six goal focuses from Chapter 6 of the Family Assessment Handbook(focusing on solutions; focusing on family strengths; changing cognitions; changing affective factors; changing behavioral factors; creating opportunities).

Note: You do not have to follow the suggestions for goals that are described at the end of the case study.

The assignment requires you to write an Essay considering two competing companies; Alibaba and eBay. You are expected to conduct a research about the two subject companies including any published articles comparing them. Your research should enable you to answer the two following questions:

  1. Conduct a SWOT analysis for both Alibaba and eBay. What do you conclude from this analysis? (4%)
  2. Analyze and Evaluate the two companies to learn which company has better global competitive advantage using Barney’s (1991) resource-based view (VRIN)? (6%)

General guide lines:

The assignment is preferably computer typed and submitted as a hard copy. Thus, spelling mistakes are not acceptable.

  • Make sure to apply what was explained in class in terms writing style using Booth et al.’s (2000) view to construct your answers/arguments.
  • You are allowed to build on other authors’ critique as long as you cite them.
  • Make sure to reference your research as I will not tolerate plagiarism.
  • Refer to the power point slides and the journal posted on blackboard which explains Barney’s (1991) RBV (VRIN).
