As we have discussed throughout this course, culture plays a large role in how we define and treat mental disorders. Write a 6-page research paper on a mental disorder of your choice and discuss the role that culture plays in the prevalence, diagnosis, understanding (etiology), and/or treatment of that disorder. “Culture” can include gender, race/ethnicity, nationality, religion, socioeconomic status, and/or disability status. Topics must be clearly defined. A minimum of 5 scholarly references must be included, and none of them may be online references (except for journal articles retrieved online). Papers should include a cover sheet and reference list; this is in addition to the 6 pages of content.
