add and edit the information in my writing, assignment help

I have my writing and I want you to add more information and edit it, write a clear thesis statement, and conclusion. it is Critique/Analytical Response

use not higher level words.

here is the guidelines

In your essay, you will first briefly summarize the work, presenting the main points of the text in a condensed form and in your own words. After you have summarized the author’s main points or key ideas, you must then evaluate them, assessing their validity and/or effectiveness. You must present your arguments without using first person. Readers will assume that ideas presented are your own unless you cite a source.

Further Guidelines (Your paper must have all of the following components):

Introduction: I will expect to see the author’s name and the title of the work somewhere in the first paragraph. In the introduction

you will state in your own words the main idea of the text you are critiquing. In a separate sentence, present your

thesis and also state the points you intend to make about the article. This sentence (or sentences) will serve as the

plan sentence, an “essay map” indicating where you are going with your paper. You might also consider providing

some brief background information about the work and its author in the introduction; such background can help the

reader to understand the relevance of the text.

Summary: Give a brief summary of the text, presenting the main ideas in your own words. Be sure to discuss the author’s

purpose. Remember to leave out all details and to avoid any repetition in the original source. Sequence the author’s

points in logical order. As you will be covering quite a bit of ground in a fairly short space, effective use of

transitions will be especially important here. Note: Avoid stating your opinion in the summary; opinion should

be withheld for the analysis and response portion of the paper.

Analysis & Response: Assess (evaluate the effectiveness/validity of) the author’s presentation. The assessment may either address or be separate from your response—your agreement or disagreement. Comment on whether or not the author successfully achieves his purpose; to do this task, please discuss two or three specific points of critique. Begin by briefly restating the author’s point that you are addressing or by stating your observation/argument, and then comment on the author’s evidence and reasoning in reference to his success in achieving that point. This part of the paper should be the majority of the paper and is the main focus. Use the following questions (as applicable) as a basis for your analysis:

  • What is the author’s purpose?
  • Does the author achieve his or her purpose?
  • If there seems to be an argument, is it effectively presented and supported?
  • Is the information accurate?
  • Is the information significant? (How?)
  • Does the author interpret and use the information fairly?
  • Does the author define terms clearly?
  • Is the information adequate/inadequate to support the author’s point?
  • Does the author argue logically? (Does the author demonstrate faulty thinking or use logical fallacies?)

Repeat this process for each point you analyze.

Remember to consider your reactions to the text as they will inform your analysis of it. Consider whether, overall, you agree or disagree with the argument and why, OR consider which views you agree with and which you disagree with. Reflect upon your reasoning, explaining on what grounds you agree or disagree, “tying these reasons to assumptions—both the author’s and your own” (Behrens and Rosen 59).

Conclusion: In your conclusion, state your overall reaction to the validity of the author’s work. Evaluate how well he achieves his purpose, and restate the strengths and weaknesses of the text.
