INTEGRATION ESSAY INSTRUCTIONS
This final essay will synthesize chosen area(s) of study with career application and a Christian worldview. The following parameters must be followed:
• Essay Form
1. Body of text must be 5–7 pages, not including the title and reference pages.
2. Formatting style preferred by your favored academic department is used—must be noted on the cover page (current APA, Turabian, MLA, etc.)
3. At least 6sources (may include lecture notes, course readings, etc.) to be cited in-text and included on areference page at the end of the essay.
4. Cover page must include: Name, course/section, date, personal area(s) of study, selected paper title, chosen formatting style, and“Submitted in Partial Fulfillment of Requirements for INDS 400 Capstone Course.”

• An integrative device such as an analogy/metaphor must be used within the body of the essay as a vehicle for clarity. (For example, for an essay from a female with business/communications disciplines, the Proverbs 31 woman could be used, such as the following example, “Proverbs 31 is a composite of an excellent businesswoman with outstanding communication skills, community leadership, etc.…She is virtuous, wise, supportive, generous, etc. She is an example of what I would like to be as I move forward…”)
• Conclusions must clarify career aspirations/plans/desires which incorporate chosen area(s) of study, all of which must also be filtered through a Christian worldview.
• Consult Liberty University’sOnline Writing Center for questions/concerns about formatting(see left margin on website). Proper academic form is required: double spacing, 1-inch margins, 12-pt. font, etc.
• Use the provided checklist for the Integration Essay to ensure all required criteria is met.
• Prepare your Integration Essay as a Microsoft Word document; title the document “INDS400_Section#_Name_Integration_Essay” and upload it as a file tothe submission area in the Module/Week 6 Assignments folder.
