  • Relate the 5 cut-out images to the poem. Your images must relate to the poem provided to you. This is your visual artist statement. As we did in a Participation Assignment, divide your collage into quadrants. In five sentences, explain each quadrant, relating to the 5 cut-out images with a minimum of 250 words. Do not bullet your responses. Do not use the poet’s words in your statement.
  • A zero (0) will be given on the entire assignment if the corrected, final assignment is plagiarized. I want to read your words not someone else’s.
  • Explain your artwork as you would to someone who has not seen the poem (text). Poor spelling and grammar impedes my understanding of your artist’s statement.
