Eight specific areas were impacted by the revision including Standard B which relates to the counselor’s need to protect the confidentiality of patients who are minors or who cannot give informed consent. Discuss the specific implications of working with this population. How can it impact the counseling relationship? Why is confidentiality such a critical element in psychology?
