Baruch College Ethnographic Constructionist Perspective Case Study

 

For this assignment you are asked to conduct an ethnographic study of language use in interpersonal communication and present your findings to the class. This course is designed to give you a framework for conducting such a study. The final paper and its presentation requires that you discuss and examine one or more communication phenomena as it relates to interpersonal communication. This means that you: (i) define interpersonal communication from an ethnographic/social constructionist perspective, (ii) single out your communication phenomena to be discussed, and (iii) examine this communication phenomena as it plays into interaction at the interpersonal level.
