Abstract

This paper explores the computer security process of preventing and detecting unauthorized use of computers. I will also discuss:

A. The prevention measures (do’s and don’ts) to help you stop unauthorized users (also known as “intruders”) from accessing any part of your computer system.

B. Detections methods that help you to determine whether or not someone attempted to break into your system;

a. If an attack was successful

 

b. If so, what they may have done.
