1.  Discuss the pros
and cons of the death penalty and place your response within the parameters of
whether the death penalty is ethical

2.  Explain the debate
about chain gangs in prison. What are the pros and cons from the conservative
and liberal sides?

3.  Should the goals
of a prison system include degrading and demeaning prisoners…why or why not?

4.  Discuss the
current situation in Guantanamo Bay. What are your personal opinions on the
issue, i.e., what should the U.S do and specifically why?
