This week’s Discussion asks you to share your thoughts on the roles of executive staff and boards of directors. While this may seem like a simple task, there is a great deal of research on the topic that shows how varied these roles can be in different organizations. Often, the roles change as the players change. For example, a first-time executive director may play a very different role than a seasoned executive.
In your post this week, please address the following:
- What is the role of executive staff in ensuring the long-term success of an organization?
What is the role of the Board? How are they similar?
