For this essay, you will read “Drinking coffee elsewhere” and choose ONE character from said story. Your thesis should address one the following:
- How does this character’s behavior reveal her/his true emotions and/or motivations?
- What does the character learn about her/himself over the course of the story?
- What is the disparity between this character’s exterior (what s/he appears to be on the outside) and her/his interior (how she or he really feels or wants on the inside)?
- What do you predict will happen to this character after the story has ended?
Be sure that your thesis is an argument and that it appears as the last sentence of your introduction. Also, be sure that you have three well-developed body paragraphs in support of your argument and a strong conclusion.
