My name is Alaina and I live in Georgia. I have a 5-year-old son who just started Kindergarten this year. I have worked as a Preschool teacher for many years. I currently have my Early Childhood education associate degree and am finishing my Child development Bachelor’s degree. This is my last class so once I finish this and graduate I either want to continue teaching or move up in the childcare industry and work for bright from the start. If I still teach I want to switch from private preschool to the Georgia PreK program. That would allow me to be part of the public-school system. I think this cartoon fits into my teaching philosophy because when children are younger they tend to follow and believe what other children are saying and doing. I think once the children hit the elementary school age they should be taught to think for themselves more and the teachers should view the children as individuals and not group them.
