Written Assignment 2.1 is an opinion paper. The purpose of the paper is then to adequately present your opinion on a given topic. Your opinion should be presented along with supporting reasoning and examples that clearly show how you arrive to your thinking. You will be evaluated on language use, ability to support your opinion, and overall structure of your paper.
TOPIC: I am giving you two topic options for this paper and each option comes with an article to begin your thinking process.
- Topic 1: Is remote learning as effective as traditional face-to-face learning?
- Topic 2: Is a central government able to efficiently make education decisions for schools across the country?
I have created a folder in this module with two sources to help your thinking/writing process. Each article is labeled as belonging to either topic 1 or topic 2. In addition to this source, find a second source that supports your opinion point.
STRUCTURE: Use a basic essay structure starting with an introduction, presenting at least 4 major supporting points, and closing with a conclusion. Each supporting point paragraph should adequately introduce its subtopic, develop the topic, provide evidence or examples, and bring it all together in a brief conclusion.
