If you’d like to focus on COMPARISON (similarities between two works), that’s fine. Don’t, however, write only about superficial and obvious differences — all works are different.

Establish a meaningful similarity first, then you can note interesting distinctions between the similarities.

These works are very different. One is a story; the other is a play.

In one of these stories, the main character is a man. In the other, the main character is a woman.

Also note that you’ll need to directly compare each work throughout your paper.
