Because of the epidemic we are experiencing, it is harder for some people to work with a partner or partners. For this reason, the project is geared towards accounting for this. If you are working alone, the paper will be 8 – 10 pages (more if needed).

Pick a topic related to economics or engineering economics that might be of interest or helpful to you when you get into the field. The project will be to investigate this topic and write a paper of intermediate length on the subject. Possible topics include:

A business venture you might want to start. What do you need to get started? What is a reasonable business plan ? Effects on your business of inflation, funding possibilities (stocks bonds bank loan…). It could be a totally hypothetical business or one you are really considering.

Climate change and its effects on a corporation, small business or nation.

The effects on a specific national economy from an unusual event like, for example, a world- wide epidemic. (effect on U.S. or India or UAE…).
