Film Response Paper

Write a 2-3 page Film Response Paper eliciting your reaction to a movie that we’ve seen in this class.

In addition to your reaction and opinion about the film, you should also:

  • address your “reading” of the film (i.e., What does the film mean? What does it say to you?)
  • your thoughts on how the film connects with what we’re studying in class,
  • what you like best about the film, what you like least about the film, and
  • a comparison of the film with another movie(s) that you’ve seen.

Papers should be written in 12-point Times New Roman font and use 1-inch margins. Make sure to italicize the title of the film!

Basic Information To Always Know
Title, release date, studio, director, writer, stars, plot summary, and genre
Film’s motifs, parallels, references to other films, significant scenes, and a description of the style of film making
