The Final project will consist of a paper and a powerpoint presentation with voice. Students will utilize content from the textbook, articles, journals, websites and other resource materials to develop the final project. The paper will be 8-10 pages in length (of content-cover/title page, references do not count as content-no extra spacing), using proper APA formatting. MAKE sure to use the section Headings in your paper. LATE assignments will not be accepted (unless approved by the instructor). CITE all sources, plagiarized work earns a zero grade.

Instructions: Students will write a scholarly research paper on an organizational issue relating to the course content (communication, internal/external communication, emotional intelligence/leadership, communicating with teams, social media usage in organizations, communication strategies, etc.-You can select one topic or several topics to include in your research paper). Students can utilize this research opportunity to recommend changes, solve an issue/problem facing their organization. Make sure to use the Rubric attached to this assignment to guide you in developing your paper. The paper will include:

  • Title/Cover Page
  • Introduction/Background (introduction of the topic, background information on the organization, situation, etc.)
  • Analysis (thorough description of the issue or problem-Include course models/theories/concepts to support your research-cite your sources)
  • Recommendations (changes/improvements)
  • Summary/Conclusions (ensure this section ties directly to the recommendations and analysis content-do not introduce new content in your conclusion)
  • References
