HIS 102 Directions to Filming Series
The essay should briefly describe the film and then discuss
the ways it helps us to better understand the historical moment and the
historical events the film explores. In particular, we ask that you
discuss ways in which the film deepened your understanding of the issues we
have addressed in class. Not all of the films will related directly to
the topics we cover in this class, but all of the films deal with how people in
other parts of the world deal with political, cultural, and everyday struggles
similar to those we are exploring.
