FOR BEST OF BEST
APA.
Research Paper: (100 points Possible): All papers should be written as directed in the assignment: 12 font, double spaced, and approximately 5 pages of text. You must have at least 3 peer reviewed
resources cited in the text and listed at the end of the paper – one may be your textbook.
Papers submitted before November 7th
Pathophysiology Research Paper
- Choose a pathophysiologic condition of interest. You do not need to email for approval for your disease of choice, but I strongly recommend not choosing a broad topic such as Diabetes, but rather a specific topic such as Gestational diabetes. Higher specificity will narrow the research parameters and accuracy of your paper.
- Using APA Format, construct your paper using the following format, using headings and subheadings for each of the following:
- Title page with a running header
- Abstract Page (This is the most important paragraph of your paper, learn what the goals and purpose of an abstract are.)
- Introduction
- Pathophysiology: detailed description of the disease process
- Assessment findings:
- Subjective findings
- Objective findings
- Treatments of the disease (Include both pharmaceutical and non pharm interventions, or explain why no treatments exist)
- Conclusions
- References
At least three evidence based articles or textbooks that are peer-reviewed must be used with correct citations as per APA format. Limit the number of direct quotes, but instead rephrase and use citations. More than three sources are encouraged but at least three of them must be less than 7 years old and be evidenced based peer reviewed articles or textbooks.
- Please follow the “scoring rubric for scholarly papers and essays” posted on the myDSN.net. This is your guide for how I will grade every paper.
- In order to receive full credit the paper needs to be printed (AND Stapled) and handing into your fearless Patho Prof at the beginning of class on on the date specified in your syllabus.
