I am applying to a university and they asked me to write a page and half essay on why am i transferring to there and what is my goal. This what i wrote. If you could complete it and fix my mistakes if needed.

I have always wanted to be an IT student, ,but i went with what my parents wanted. However, my parents told me to go on and follow my dream. I heard a lot about Rockford. I have couple of friends who are students there, and other friends who are transferring on the fall2017 too. I hope i’d be eligible to complete my bachelors doing my own dream major.
