Answer preview………… Identity in the society has been based on many things including gender constructions and even relationships that people develop.  As if directly addressing these constructions, the film Her presents an awkward relationship between Theodore the main character and Samantha, the artificially intelligent operating system he comes to fall in love with. The place of the main character’s isolation from reality and his crossing into fantasy is seen in the beach scene whereby Theodore manages to connect with Samantha through memories. As in the case of Theodore, a person with Alzheimer’s disease, or Roxane who eats to maintain her sense of security, the boundaries between fantasy and reality are obstructed by the depressive psychological differences that define the character’s sense of identity………
