Logical Fallacies
Watch, listen to, or read the news. Invariably, in the discussion of current issues, an interviewer or interviewee eventually makes some logical fallacy. Watch, listen, and/or read until you find at least 5 different fallacies. If you see more than one glaring example of the same fallacy you are welcome to share them all, but it cannot take the place of 4 additional different fallacies. Quote the fallacious statement as accurately as possible. Sometimes transcripts or clips of programs can be found online afterward if you need to check the exact wording of something you heard. For each quotation, state the name of the fallacy and explain it in a complete sentence.
