For those interested in the intersection of psychology and law I have a few recommendations for you. Serial podcast: Season 1 (Links to an external site.) & 3 (Links to an external site.) and “Making a murderer” featured investigations into murders or crime, and they highlight many fascinating links to social and cognitive psychology.

Some other material related to race, social psychology, and criminal justice that might interest you: Bryan Stevenson’s “Just Mercy (Links to an external site.)” or Michelle Alexander’s “The New Jim Crow (Links to an external site.)” are excellent reads. Finally, the podcast entitled “White Lies (Links to an external site.)” discusses the murder and cover up of James Reeb’s who was killed in Selma after a protest march.
