In your reaction to the reading (Part I of the collection “James Carey: A Critical Reader”) provide a brief summery of key claims made in chapter two, or in chapter three, while relating these claims to the schools of thought that were discussed in the first chapter and which seem to closely relate to the perspectives presented in the discussion.

You may also elect to incorporate elements of the debate presented by Slavoj Žižek in the video titled “Democracy and Capitalism are Destined to Split up,” and lewis Mumford’s short video about Systems of compulsion (the modern media).

The review should be concise and should integrate direct quotations from the text (no longer than one or two sentence quotes with formatted citations). Be sure to provide your perspective in relation to the area of the debate that you chose to address. On the title page, give your work an original title that can represent the focus of your work.
