Module 2 – Sociological Methods – Discussion Board

In approximately 250 words, choose one of the three sociological
perspectives discussed in the book and use it to explain a social
phenomenon of interest to you (i.e. college attendance, crime, etc.).
Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of using this perspective in your
explanation. When you respond to another student’s post, use a different
perspective to explain the same the social phenomenon chosen by the
original poster. For example, if you respond to a student who used
functionalism to analyze crime, you will use conflict or
symbolic interactionism to add to their analysis of crime. For this
discussion board, you do not need to pose a question for other students,
but feel free to do so
