I. Purpose

In this writing assignment, you will engage in a thorough analysis of a PR campaign of a specific company or a particular type of campaigns (i.e. CSR campaigns for cancer awareness, cyber bullying, anti-racism, etc.). In addition, in this project you will apply what you have learnt in this class.

II. Description

You will write a research paper that should be ten (10) to (12) pages long, double-spaced and with one-inch page margin. This does not include the bibliography.

IV. Requirements

Sources

In this project you will apply what you have learnt in this class. This means that you can cite the textbooks and external readings. But I mainly expect that in this paper you will consult scholarly articles and/or books. These are peer-reviewed pieces that you can acquire through the library’s databases. You are free to include materials that you find online (websites, blogs, statistics, etc.) but they cannot serve as a substitute for the scholarly articles. They can only supplement the scholarly materials. You must cite at least five scholarly articles or books.

Important!

Make sure that you cite every source you consulted. If you include a text that is not your own without citing it this will be considered plagiarism. Please do not do this because you will get a zero (0) on your paper. You should have a separate bibliography section at the end of the paper. Use MLA, APA, or Chicago styles for citing sources.

Structure and Writing Style

I expect a well-organized paper that has a clear introduction, a body and a conclusion. It must be well-written and proofread. A significant portion of your grade depends precisely on the clarity and organization of the paper. If you have not visited the writing tutor, this might be a good time to do it.

Components

In the introduction, the reader should be able to find a clear thesis or the main idea of the paper. If you have a research question that guides your thought, it should be included here. You don’t have to include an abstract.

In the body of the paper make sure that you have a description of the leadership issues and explain some of the ethical challenges that surfaced. Feel free to incorporate your opinion as well.

Make sure that you have a clear conclusion that summaries your findings and restates the goal of your paper.
