Please read the short article linked below regarding Californias Proposition 47 and answer the Q then respond

First, compose a minimum of 100 words in response to the question below. Second, save the work to your hard drive, and then, post your response here in Canvas. Next, read the responses provided by your classmates and compose a 100-word minimum critical response to 1 classmate’s post. You may respond to more posts, but this does not add to your 10 points. Please save this second response also. (For the response, I will send one of the classmates’ post to respond to because the posts will be visible after I post my answer of the question.)

Please read the short article linked below regarding California’s Proposition 47. (There is also a 4 minute audio recording located at the top left of the article, but listening to this is optional).

In your own words, define what Proposition 47 is and what the initiative was intended to do. Then answer whether or not you agree with this public policy. In other words, if you were a California citizen would you have voted for this bill? Why or why not?

Finally, if you pull additional information from a source (internet, book, article, journal article) to develop your response, please be sure to cite it appropriately in APA format. Below is an example to follow for a journal article. This includes the authors’ names, year of publication, title of the article, the name of the journal in italics, the volume number of the journal in italics, and the issue number in parentheses, followed by the page number range:
