During the presentation students will explore the beer they brewed by examining the beer style history, tasting profile, and beer and food pairings. Students will have the opportunity to create and share a label design for the beer they produce. The label design will provide students the chance to brand their own brew.

The purpose of the presentation is for students to reflect on the knowledge and skills developed during the course related to brewing beer, food pairings, and beer history.

Requirements

  • Students will present their crafted beer in a presentation (PowerPoint, Prezi, etc.)
  • Overview of beer style history
  • Tasting profile for beer style
    • Note: Include a tasting profile for the beer brewed if the tasting profile differs from the traditional style
  • Food pairings for the beer styled brewed
  • Process of brewing the beer selected
  • Recipe for crafted beer
    • Include information about adjuncts, additives, and extra ingredients
  • Students will create a label design and name for the beer brewed
    • The label design can be hand drawn or created with a computer application
  • Presentations will be from 10 to 12 minutes
  • Students are encouraged to use a mix of media in presentations (audio, images, videos, etc.)
