Profession Investigation Assignment Modifications

– You can, and likely now should, conduct your interview over the phone or by video chat technology. Do not send your interviewee questions by email. This should still be a live conversation.

– To earn credit for your class presentation, 1) draft a written presentation outline and 2) create a well-designed powerpoint presentation. Upload both when you upload the written parts of the assignment. Use the lesson on the elements of an effective presentation to design your presentation outline and powerpoint. Include the elements of the introduction, the elements of the conclusion, three main points, and signposts/transitions that I discuss in the lesson. (You do NOT need to record yourself giving the presentation; just submit your written speech outline and your powerpoint).

– The Profession Investigation Project is now due for everyone by 9:00pm on Monday 4/27.

– To recap, the assignment is now asking you to upload the following items:

1. written memo

2. typed interview guide (with notes, or a photo of your handwritten notes)

3. written presentation outline

4. presentation power point (under 10 slides is fine!)

5. strategy map (can combine analysis of the audience/strategy for the presentation and the paper into one strategy map)
