This week we reflect on operational excellence. We’ve addressed all the fundamentals of Information Systems in the Bourgeois text. Langer taught us more about organizational concepts. He focused on issues like organizational culture and how it can impact everything: collaboration, acceptance of change, security-mindedness. Both Bourgeois and Langer point to the importance of having documented processes and the information systems necessary to help automate those processes. So, in your professional observation, what factors have you seen contribute to a culture of operational excellence?
