project on any religion
Religion Poster Project
In this project, you will create a poster for one of the worlds religions. My suggestion is that you use Powerpoint or Keynote to create your poster as it is much easier to place text and photos on the page.
First, pick one religion from the following list:
- Christianity
- Islam
- Judaism
- Zoroastrianism
- Rastafari
- Buddhism
- Hinduism
- Jainism
- Sikhism
- Shinto
- Taoism
- Confucianism
- Atheist/Agnostic
Once you have chosen your religion, you need to do some research on it. I do not want just a copy of everything from wikipedia . The written information on the poster should equal about 2 or 3 pages typed using college level writing. Be sure to cite all sources, maps and images used. Some suggestions of topics to discuss on your poster includes:
- History of the religion
- How has it spread across the world
- Religious customs and beliefs
- Major divisions of your religion
- Conflict an cooperation with other religions
- Impact of the religion around the world
You must include a map related to your religion. Your map does not need to be made by you, but you must explain what the map is showing. Pictures are also a plus as a poster should be enjoyable to look at as well as informative.
