Psychology research paper

This paper can be of any developmental topic of your choice. It can be as short as 3 pages but no more than 5 pages in length, excluding the cover page and bibliography. It must include at least 3 peer reviewed (but aim for 4) academic references on the topic.

The elements of the paper should include:

  • Introduction to the topic
  • A summary of the research you collected with the following elements:
  • the life span theories and perspectives used in your research or your explanation of the life span theory or theories used to understand the topic
  • a very brief explanation of the scientific or research methods used in each reference-how was the research or scientific inquiries conducted
  • why the topic is important to you or to the community at large
  • conclusions and recommendations for future research
  • you own thoughts and critical thinking on the topic
  • APA style bibliography

Each section is worth 6 points for a total of 36 points

Paper must be submitted in word doc or docx format and uploaded as an attachment. If I cannot open the document I cannot not grade the paper and you will receive a zero.

If you are unsure where to get started here are a few topics students have selected in the past: Sleeping issues in babies and children, childhood obesity, adolescent use and abuse of drugs/alcohol, sexual identity issues, divorce and impact on children, death and dying issues, how to live to be 100. Select something that is of interest to you. It will be a more enjoyable task.
