Read the questions below and answer them
In the assigned readings from the Parker text, the author describes those who “would if they could,” those who “could if they would,” and those who “can’t if they won’t.” As Ephesians 6:13 states, “Having done all, stand.” There will be times when your elementary school students will not succeed, even though you have done all—with your best intentions and most diligent and earnest efforts. It can be crushing to witness a student fail or have to repeat a grade. You should want and should try with all of your effort to save them all, but you simply “can’t if they won’t.” Describe how you will handle the concept of learning to let go and let God intervene.
After reviewing the ideas and strategies utilized in this module/week’s Reading & Study folder, complete the following in your discussion thread:
- Describe how you will handle the concept of learning to let go and let God intervene.
- Submit at least 1 new idea or strategy that you would like to use in your own classroom.
- Describe how you, as simply one educator in the elementary school setting, plan to effect change.
- Describe how you will use the concepts of ‘‘teacher talk,’’ ‘‘inquiry,’’ problem solving, and discovery in your classroom to affect effect change and positive growth in student performance.
